Falls Prevention Classes

Falls can happen to anyone at any time and unfortunately can become more common as we grow older. Studies have shown that exercise can significantly reduce the rate and the risk of falling. This is why it is important to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

To help reduce the risk of falls, exercise programs should incorporate the following:

  • Exercises that challenge your balance
  • Resistance exercises that strengthen the muscles we use for posture and walking
  • Targeted exercises such weight bearing and progressive bone loading
